Cessna Citation III

The Cessna Citation III is a business jet based on the previous models of the manufacturer’s aircraft family. At the same time, the designers have made significant changes. Designs numbered I and II have been quite successful commercially for the light business jet segment. The company then began working with mid-sized aircraft.
The creation of the aircraft of model number III began from scratch. The development of the model began in 1978. The test flight of the first sample took place in May 1979, the second in May 1980. At the end of the flight tests, the aircraft was certified according to the FAA type.
