The Learjet 70 is a replacement for the 40XR and 45XR light business airliners of a similar family. This model inherited the airframe and avionics system of the prototypes. It features a large fuel reserve, modernized take-off and landing properties, increased fuel efficiency and reduced operating costs. The aircraft is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-40BR turbofan engines. Each of them has 1746 kg of thrust. Also, the airliner is equipped with winglets similar to long-haul aircraft.
