In May 2007, Hawker Beechcraft announced an updated version of the B200GT during the 7th Annual European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva. This aircraft was equipped with a new model of the PT6 engine, developed especially for it by the Canadian company Pratt and Whitney. Despite the rated power of 850 hp. (630 kW), the new PT6A-52 is capable of developing maximum power at higher altitudes, which allows for a greater improvement in the aircraft’s flight characteristics.
