The Boeing 777X is a wide-body, long-haul aircraft. Its key differences from other aircraft in the line are its impressive size (the largest model with two engines), the presence of a folding wing, which was created using composite materials. Thanks to this design, the airliner can be placed in conventional hangars for aviation purposes. This design was not originally used in civil aviation, which made development and certification difficult, but in May 2018, the US Federal Aviation Administration approved the use of a folding wing on such aircraft.
