The Gulfstream III is an advanced intercontinental successor to the Gulfstream II. Its fuselage has been lengthened and its range extended by installing a new supercritical wing and adding upward-bent winglets. Engines remain the same — Spey. The new model is capable of carrying 8 passengers over a distance of 7400 km at a speed of 0.84M. The new wing shape and dimensions were recognized as important differences for the Gulfstream III aircraft, which resulted in improved aerodynamic performance.
